Amazon-backed Westland Books announced on Saturday that it has acquired the rights to publish veteran actor Kabir Bedi’s autobiography. In a tweet, the leading publishing house stated that the book, titled ‘Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Journey of an Actor’, will release in April 2021.
Kabir Bedi is one of the most experienced actors in India, who’s also worked in Hollywood and Rome. Commenting on the book, Bedi said he has poured his heart into it and that he has written it with emotional honesty. He further added that ‘Stories I Must Tell’ contains stories of tragedies & triumphs, love & loss, and remembrance & regret.
The book will come out in April and will present various aspects of Kabir Bedi’s life, which has been quite a dramatic one. Bedi’s personal life was quite a journey, which includes four marriages and an affair with former Bollywood actress Parveen Babi. ‘Stories I Must Tell’ is expected to shed light on these aspects from the actor’s perspective, giving answers to a lot of questions.
However, what’s most anticipated is Kabir Bedi’s journey as an actor from Bollywood to Hollywood to Italy. Working in the Italian film and television industry is quite a rarity among Indian actors, and Bedi has managed to achieve it with great distinction. His autobiography might give the readers, especially young and aspiring actors, an insight into making it to European cinema.
